Greetings Sonora Night Out followers... Exciting news! March is here and everyone is already talking funny, getting ready for the 26th Annual Celtic Faire at the Motherlode Fairgrounds.  March 9th, 10th and 11, three days of great fun and fantasy! This is a hallmark Sonora event, the oldest and largest of its kind on the West Coast. We can't begin to describe all the activities and attractions this event has to offer but let's start with this year's musical lineup on four stages, featuring: Stand Easy Wicked Tinkers Whiskey and Stiches Black Irish Band 1916 Irish Band Black Eyed Dempseys Golden Bough The Heart of Erin Sequoia Stout Rebellion As well as Jousting Tournaments, Daring Knights, Highland Games, Gypsy Storytelling, Living History and not to mention "The Great Whiskey Tasting Competition" (one of our special favorites).  Go to their website at: http://www.sonoracelticfaire.com/index.html  for more information. And if by then you still haven't enough Celtic music flowing through your veins you can still look forward to Saturday March 17, for the St. Patrick's Day Celebration at the Sonora Opera Hall featuring the Irish music of Milltown & Friends and performances by the O'Sullivan Academy of Irish Dance. Hamlet will wind up it's run at the Stage 3 Theatre on March 18th, the reviews have been fabulous, so don't miss out on a chance to see one of Stage 3's great productions. But not to worry, Sierra Repertory Theatre is about to open their production of "Gypsy" on March 3rd and should be at the top of your  "to do" lists. Since SNO launched we've heard nothing but great things about the Red Barn, a little hot spot just outside of town. Their Sunday Jam sessions have become legendary and and seem to have something going on almost every night of the week. Looking for something to do on Thursday night? Lifts are running at Dodge Ridge! 2nd Saturday Art Walk in Sonora, March 10. SNO would like to welcome Aloft Art Gallery to our site.
