Greetings, Sonora Night Out friends! In just 90 days, has charted an online social reach to nearly 50,000 potential users, directing more than a thousand visits to the site during the month of March. Over 6000 page views, 650 unique visitors have logged into SNO during it's relative infancy.  By word-of-mouth, we are just getting started and everyday we get better and more widely known. Our mission is to get the word out! What is of interest to our users? They love great food, entertainment, live music and a well planned night out. We hope you stick with us and recommend to your family and friends! Like us on Facebook, or follow us on Twitter.... Most important, send in your events!!!! We all love Sonora / Tuolumne County and want to see more folks discover the real gold that lies in these hills! Like all the following....

 * 2nd SATURDAY ART NIGHT is Saturday, April 14th! Posters will be all over town as Historic Downtown Sonora comes alive with Art & Music! Complete details are posted on, the official ART NIGHT web site, but here are some highlights...
Starlight Serenaders' Swing Band will be playing at The Banyan Tree, plus Patricia Tippett's new watercolors will be on view
Sonora Joe's will host folksinger Michael Severin in the early evening, then round out the night with Bluegrass by The Devil Mountain Boys
Tradewinds will feature "nJr" American Roots & Blues
Flutist June Diggle returns to Joan's Boutique.

ANGELS FLIGHT WINERY presents Troubadour in Standard, Saturday, April 14th. James Hurley, one of the most respected performing songwriters on the west coast, brings his unique and engaging music to Angels Flight Wineries acoustic concert series. Housed in the 1914 Standard Church building, Angels Flight Winery hosts this concert series that showcases the talents of both local and touring performers in a room that is renowned for the beauty of its natural acoustic sound. 19030 Standard Road Standard. 209-532-9463

We are discovering so many new places to visit and hang in Tuolumne it's hard to know where to start, but let's mention a couple...  the Gypsy Shack has ended up on our list of places we must visit next time we're in Jamestown. The neighborhood is a brighter place with great nightly menu combinations and a variety of entertainment. The Gypsy Shack offers a lot for an evening out!  18145 Main Street Jamestown. Got to get out to the Red Barn, Tuttletown,  Sunday Blues Jams! There's a waiting list for participating Motherlode musicians.... this is quite a gathering of talent! Visited with Jeff the other night and had a great tri-tip sandwich and a beer, put me in the mood for some good ol' BBQ Blues!  I understand the Eagle Tavern in Twain Harte is doing the same program and it's becoming just as popular!
  SNO: HAPPY HOUR ALERT!... Hooligan's Jamestown: Tuesday through Thursday, 2pm to 6pm. Drink specials include $5.00 Long Isands, $4.00 Draft, $3.50 Margarita's, and $3.00 cocktails. Thursday is "Thirsty Thursday," which includes the drinks above, as well as $1.00 Keystone and PBR!!!! Hair of the dog?......Come in Sunday from 11am to 2pm for a yummy $5.00 Bloody Mary or Bloody Molly, and $5.00 Irish Coffee with yummy Bailey's and Irish Whiskey! AMGEN is on it's way like a wave of pride over the city, this event will put Sonora on thousands of peoples radar this May 16th. Show your support, purchase your choice of great AMGEN / Sonora Stage 4 stuff, while it's still available, at the Tuolumne County Visitors Bureau and make ready for the greatest California - World Class bicycle race!

Ring of Fire: The Music of Johnny Cash. Big red carpet opening this month, on April 20th, when the Fallon House Theatre, Columbia opens its doors and Sierra Repertory Theatre presents, Ring of FIre: The Music of Johnny Cash. This is one is a must see as well. Fans of the man in black should make their plans now to see this heart pounding stage interpretation of one of America's legendary performers. Info: 209-532-0502

Don't forget the Sonora Spring Festival April 28th. This event is FREE to the Public and includes art & crafters, live music, street entertainment, hair show and fair. Disco boogie car wash & more Join us as we Swing into Spring with this family fun event! At the Mother Lode Fairgrounds, Sonora.

One other community event to take note of!!! Celebrities Serving Dinner sponsored by the Sonora Sunrise Rotary on Tuesday, April 17th at Seven Sisters Restaurant at Black Oak Casino. Call 588-2977 for tickets and information. This exclusive dinner is a Benefit to help raise funds for Railtown 1897, State Historic Park, Jamestown.
